As I was
driving along the backroads
in the Belgian province Hainaut, my
eye fell upon this 'fermette', which roots go back even before 1000 AD. In
fact, the buildings belonged once to the long gone castle in the neighbourhood
and were servant-quarters. Back in 1600 they added some more buildings and now
there is a beautifull conglomerate of old bricks and mortar. |

But it was not
because of the
architectural point of view that my attention was caught . As I passed by, I saw a glimpse of some covered cars. Curious as I am, I
stopped and entered this walhalla of old iron. |

I
met the owner, he showed me around and told his sad story. He encountered his limits when struggling with a
cilinderhead of a Jaguar S.S. Not able to continue the restoration on several
projects himself, he took the wise decision to sell off most of his
stock. |
